Founder & Managing Partner

Nathan Montone is the Founder and Managing Partner of M31 Capital, where he applies civilizational-scale research to identify emerging technology paradigm shifts ahead of consensus.

His systematic research-driven approach synthesizes insights from physics, history, macroeconomics, technology, and geopolitics to identify the scientific unlocks and Live Players that drive technological paradigm shifts. An investor in over 100 companies spanning blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, network states, defense technology, and more, Nathan's work emphasizes founders and technologies with genuine disruptive agency.

He is recognized for anticipating technological regime shifts ahead of consensus and today advises private investors, institutions, and sovereign wealth funds on upcoming technology shifts and investment positioning for long-term technological change.

Michael Swensson

Co-Founder & Managing Partner

Michael Swensson is Co-Founder and Managing Partner at M31 Capital where he brings 20 years of experience building and running institutional-grade operations at the highest levels of global finance.

As a former COO at Bridgewater Associates, he worked alongside the firm's CEOs to manage the world's largest hedge fund, leading strategic management and developing the internal risk governance framework that underpins Bridgewater's investment process.

Prior to Bridgewater, Michael held senior positions at Goldman Sachs and AllianceBernstein. He was appointed Co-Chair of SIFMA, where he worked to identify and prevent systemic risk across the global financial industry.

At M31 Capital, Michael ensures the infrastructure supporting the firm's investment process meets the standards of the world's most demanding institutional investors.

Jen Berry

Managing Partner

Jen spent sixteen years at Bridgewater Associates, where she worked directly with Ray Dalio to systematize the firm's management logic, encoding the principles that made Bridgewater the world's largest hedge fund into repeatable, scalable processes. As a Management Committee advisor, she led turnarounds across Trading, Finance, Client Services, and Talent, demonstrating the capacity to diagnose organizational dysfunction and rebuild operations from first principles.

Following Bridgewater, Jen was the Chief Experience Officer at Thrive Global with Arianna Huffington and built Lifelines, a venture with Melissa and Doug Bernstein. She is also a co-founder of The Mycelorium, a Venture Bridge network built off of her extensive Bridgewater alumni network.

At M31 Capital, Jen builds the organizational architecture that transforms the firm's paradigm shift identification framework into a repeatable, institutional-grade process.
